Biker Down! Cymru Online
Are you a resident or road user in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire or Powys?
Would you like to learn what to do if you are first on scene at a motorcycle collision?
A new online version of the popular Biker Down! Cymru course has recently been launched. The course is delivered by Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and is available free of charge to residents and road users of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys thanks to Welsh Government funding.
Biker Down! Cymru is a free 3 hour course for motorcyclists wishing to enhance their knowledge and broaden their experience in dealing with incidents or collisions that may require first aid at the roadside.
It consists of three modules:
- Incident scene management
- Casualty care
- The science of being seen
Following completion of the online course, participants will be invited to attend a venue in one of the local authority areas listed later in the year to complete the first aid and helmet removal elements as this can't be covered online.
You don't need to be a biker to book a place on the course, anyone is welcome to take part.
The next online course will take place on Tuesday 31st August 2021 at 6:30pm and will be delivered online through Microsoft Teams. To book a place please call 01267 228284 or email info@bikerdowncymru.org.uk.
